This Privacy Policy aims to help you understand what personal information ToonSquid uses in order to provide its functionality, and how you can update and delete your information.
Definitions
ToonSquid
The "ToonSquid" App, which this Privacy Policy applies to.
Website
The toonsquid.com website and all pages under the toonsquid.com domain.
Personal Data
Personal Data means data about a living individual who can be identified from those data (or from those and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession). This can for example be a name or an e-mail address or IP address.
Device
The hardware you have installed ToonSquid onto (i.e. your iPad).
Data Collection and Use
We do not collect, process or share any Personal Data from your usage of ToonSquid.
We also do not collect, process or share any Personal Data from your usage of the Website, other than the necessary data that is processed by our web hosting and e-mail hosting providers in order to ensure the availability, security and functionality of the Website. You can find more information on this under the "Hosting" section of this policy.
Request by e-mail
If you contact us by e-mail (contact@toonsquid.com), your request and any personal data you have chosen to include in your request will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request.
The data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries submitted to us. Your e-mail address is for example used in order to contact you for potential follow-up questions regarding a technical issue that you have encountered in ToonSquid or in order to notify you of the addition of features that you had previously requested via e-mail. The data will not be used to contact you for reasons that are unrelated to your inquiries.
The data you send us is not passed on without your consent.
The data is stored until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to the storage or until the purpose for the data storage lapses. That applies unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your Personal Data such as statutory retention periods, in which case the deletion of your data will take place once such retention periods have expired.
Beta Testing
If you submit the ToonSquid Beta testing form, the data you provide in the form will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of selecting beta testers and sending out beta test invites. The data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in selecting beta testers for ToonSquid.
The data will not be used for any other purposes.
The data is stored until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to the storage or until the purpose for the data storage lapses.
If you are selected as a beta tester, the name and e-mail address you provided in the form will be shared with Apple Inc. in order to send you a beta test invite via TestFlight. Please refer to Apple's TestFlight Privacy Policy for all the information on how Apple processes your data when you perform beta testing via TestFlight.
Please note that submitting the beta testing form and participating in beta testing is voluntary and fully optional.
Hosting
GitHub
We host our Website with GitHub on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the reliability, availability and security of our Website.
The provider is GitHub, Inc. 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. St. San Francisco, CA 94107, United States (in the following referred to as GitHub).

This contract mandates that the processing of Personal Data of visitors to our Website is in compliance with the GDPR.
Google Workspace
We use Google Workspace as the e-mail hosting service for the contact@toonsquid.com e-mail address and other e-mail addresses of the toonsquid.com domain on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the reliability and availability of our contact e-mail address and the security of all data shared via this address.
Google Services such as Google Forms and Google Drive are used as part of Google Workspace to process and store the beta testing applications that are submitted via the ToonSquid Beta testing form.
The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (in the following referred to as Google Workspace).

This contract mandates that the processing of Personal Data of anyone who contacts us via e-mail is in compliance with the GDPR.
Transfer of Data
ToonSquid does not transfer any Personal Data from the Device to any other location.
Security of Data
The security of your data is very important to us, which is why ToonSquid only uses the minimal amount of data required to provide its functionalities and does neither collect nor share any Personal Data of its users. The same applies to the Website.
Personal Data collected (e.g. through inquiries you send us via our contact e-mail address) is treated as confidential information and in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation as mentioned above (see "Request by e-mail" section).

ToonSquid Discussions, which is the public forum for user feedback and discussions, is hosted on GitHub. Please refer to GitHub's Privacy Policy if you wish to participate in that forum.

ToonSquid may contain links to the official ToonSquid Website. If you click on any of these links, you will be redirected to the Website.
The Website may also contain links that redirect to sites that are not under the toonsquid.com domain.
